Half Up and Half Down Prom Hairstyle |
The prom is one of the highlights of being in high school. If the person misses the event, it is gone forever. Those who want to look good can try something unique with the hair such as the half up and half down look.
The reason why this hairstyle is given such a name is because it goes in two separate directions. The bangs have a curve and are pointed upwards while the rest falls down in the person’s back.
This hairstyle can be done on anybody who has long and straight hair. The important thing to remember is to have the hair washed at least a day before the prom. This will make it easy to arrange for the lovely living or those who want to help out at home.
Ladies who don’t have straight hair can still do this by applying some gel or using some hair spray. Black colored pins will work best so no one will notice this when walking around the prom.
This begins by brushing the hair to make sure there are not tangles and all the strands are straight. Afterwards, this can be smoothened using a flat iron. This should be left to cool for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step.
The bangs can be made to curve up by using a roller. This should stay in a place for about an hour or two to get the right shape.
The hair that stretches all the way to the back should be combed behind the ear. The person can also use the hands to make sure this fall into place then attach a clip to one side for a few minutes. This should also be done to the other side to create the same effect.
The next step will be to remove the pins and brush everything towards the middle of the back. When this has been smoothened, a clip will again be placed. Since this will fall once this has been removed, this is the time that a little get should be applied over the area.
Each of these sections should be sprayed or have a little gel to hold each section into place. The person will notice that this can be done in single or a few layers to get the desired shape.
The half up and half down hairstyle is not common but is beautiful when done by a great lovely living. People in the prom will simply love this and try the look when an opportunity presents itself.
